Welcome to Follow the Soul Trane
Eric and I are pleased to announce the launch of our new blog: Follow the Soul Trane!
We will be featuring categories including: In Conversations, Eric on the Radio, Meet the Makers, On Set with Erin, Memories to Keep, Coming Events, Essential Links, Working Together, and more. Please stay tuned over the next few days and weeks, as we will be releasing additional details through our website, Facebook page, Twitter and Instagram.
Last week I had the chance to speak with Ravi Coltrane after his set at The Blue Note. I mentioned to him that Eric and I were starting this blog, and Ravi replied “Wow, love that blog title, Eric is a really good guy.” Ravi’s statement sums up my sentiments exactly as I am truly honored to work alongside of a great legend such as Eric.
At this time we would also like to thank my dear friend Tim Blankenship, for helping us to set up the blog and connect to all of the links we will be providing. We are so grateful to have a true webmaster on board to help make this a reality.
Our wish is to connect with all through the love of music, and we hope that you will come join us on this fantastic journey through the roots of American music, the people and music of jazz, and beyond.
“Jazz speaks for life. The Blues tell the story of life’s difficulties, and if you think for a moment, you will realize that they take the hardest realities of life and put them into music, only to come out with some new hope or sense of triumph.”
– Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Opening address to the 1964 Berlin Jazz Festival
